We are a fourth-generation family farm.
A & H stands for Andrea and Hugo, the owners and operators of the farm. They have 8 children with ages ranging from 3-19. Oftentimes, they can be found working on our farm or at the Farmers Market. In 2017 they were named the Farm Family of the Year by the Kansas Farm Bureau.
Andrea’s family has been farming for over a century and the farming gene has been passed down with each generation. Before they started A & H Farm, Hugo was in the Army while Andrea worked as an accountant. After getting out of the military, they decided to move back to Andrea’s hometown of Manhattan to start their own farm and the rest is history.
Andrea has been attending Farmers Markets since she was less than 2 weeks old and is currently the President of the Downtown Farmers’ Market of Manhattan where she works closely with other Farmers Markets to implement the use of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).
Our farm grows and changes each year.
🌾 Welcome to Our Farm
Our farm is always changing and growing, and every season we add something new to make your visits even more fun. Over the years, we’ve expanded what we offer—from the crops we grow, to the animals we raise, to the events and games in our admissions area.
Alongside our produce, we raise animals that play an important role in the health of our farm. Their manure helps enrich our soil, and in return they enjoy extra homegrown produce. Caring for them is one of my favorite parts of farm life. We’re even looking at expanding into offering halves and wholes of beef when available, though our herd is small and limited.
🚜 What We’ve Added Through the Years
🌸 2025 – Fields of Flowers
This year we planted thousands of flowers all across the farm! Enjoy the beauty as you stroll through the grounds or head to our u-pick flower area to take some home. It’s a colorful, seasonal experience—once the freeze comes, the flowers will rest until spring.
🎯 2024 – Paintball Shooting Range
We added a stationary paintball range that’s perfect for both kids and adults! Take aim, test your skills, and have a blast—without worrying about running around or getting paint all over you. It’s fun, safe, and a great way to add a little extra excitement to your visit.
🍹 2023 – Adults-Only Zone
Our 18+ zone is the perfect place to kick back and relax. Located next to the u-pick flower fields (seasonal) and our Grain Bin Bar, this area offers many of the same games you’ll find in the main admission area plus seating just for grown-ups. It’s a peaceful space to unwind, sip a drink, and enjoy the farm atmosphere—without the littles!
🛝 2022 – The Mega Slide
To complement our ever-popular “One More Time” slide, we added the Mega Slide! It’s open on select weekends and offers another thrilling ride that families love. Whether you’re racing down or just enjoying the view, this slide adds even more fun to your farm day.
🐦 2021 – Bird Enclosure
One of our most unique attractions! Our massive bird enclosure lets you walk right in and interact with our flock of friendly budgies. They’re colorful, playful, and always a hit with visitors. Not a bird fan? No worries—there’s plenty of seating just outside the enclosure so you can relax and watch from a distance.
💛 Our Mission
At the heart of it all, our goal hasn’t changed—we want to be a fun, family-friendly place where you can come enjoy a piece of farm life. We put a lot of thought into planning and setting up each season, and we hope you’ll join us soon to experience everything new and familiar that our farm has to offer!
